Updates & Pics.

I didn't realize it had been forever and a day since my last post. Oh dear.

Anywho, typical nonsense here in my neck of the woods.  Work, life, fitness (CrossFit, which I'm digging now - it took a while, I'll admit, but I've drunk the Kool Aid), and updating my condo. I had ceiling fans and lights installed over the weekend, which is something I really should have done when I first purchased the place!  Better late than never?

A recent WOD at my box.  I subbed step ups on the smallest box (not sure how tall it is, maybe 10 inches in height) for box jumps.

My brother, SIL, niece & nephew came over recently, and it was great visiting with them.

My nephew is perplexed by the Star Wars Legos!  It's supposed to be an enemy Empire aircraft.

My niece said to take a selfie, so that's what we did!

This kid.....that face....

And I met up with Margo in Brooklyn last weekend for dinner.

It's been a nice few weeks, and I can't believe it's fall already.  Anyone else sick of seeing pumpkin everything or is it just me?  I even saw pumpkin marinara sauce at the supermarket, ugh.

The Holy Father was in town recently.  I watched some of the ceremonies on TV with a special kind of awe.  I'm not super religious at all, I think of myself more as spiritual, but there's something to be said about this particular Pope.  Especially when he's conducting Mass in Spanish, or when he was speaking to the kids in East Harlem - it's like he's speaking to you directly.

That's pretty much all for now.  Til next time.

Boston & More Pics!

Hey, hey!

I haven't disappeared, I promise!  I just have been a terrible blogger lately.  I really need to be better about updating this.

Hope these pictures will make up for my absence.

Last week, I took a long weekend and headed to Boston to see some of my favorite people ever.

Thursday I took a half day and headed up to New Hampshire to hang out with Colleen and her lovely family.  It was my first time ever in New Hampshire.  Unreal, I know.

 With Colleen.

And I got to frolic with this beautiful creature.  Her Husky, Sophie.

While in New Hampshire, I decided to drop in on the local CrossFit box.  It was important to me to keep the routine going even though I was away.

That Friday, it was onto Boston, and onto to see one of my BFF's and one of the best people ever.  Dani!!!

Saturday we headed over to the Saturday morning meeting at the local WW center, which is a nice walk from Dani's house.

Was within goal range, and I was happy with that.

Later, we took a day trip to Salem.  It was my first time there, and it was a nice day, overcast, but it wasn't humid or anything.

The beach smells like charcoal, and was suprisingly pleasant.

 Stick art!
Statue of Samantha of the show Bewitched.  LOL.

One of the victims from 1692.  What a horrible way to die.  Oye vey.

After we arrived back at their house, Tori & I decided to get our nerd on and completely geek out.  MTG was in full on nerd mode.

I'm still learning the basics of playing, but my inner nerd loves it so far.  Have to play more in my non-existent copious free time.

Sunday morning I dropped in to the box by Dani's house.  I'm glad I went, it was a tough workout!

Then it was back home, and my nice little weekend came to an end.  Sad panda.

This Saturday, I WI'ed at my WW center.

Stayed the same.  :-)

I cannot believe it is September already.  Honestly, WHERE did the summer go????

Sheesh.

Anywho, I don't think I have any more little road trips planned for the rest of the year, but you never know.

Back to the grind, as usual.  Just trying to be consistent, but not always successful.  ;-)

Til next t.ime
